Annie Bot by Sierra Greer is a haunting and thought-provoking novel that explores the intersections of artificial intelligence, grief, and identity. Set in a near-future world, the story follows a woman who develops an intense relationship with an AI companion designed to emulate her lost loved one. As their connection deepens, unsettling questions arise about autonomy, memory, and what it truly means to be human. Through themes of technology, loneliness, and psychological unease, Annie Bot examines the fragile boundaries between love, control, and the unknown.
The cost of this event covers food. Drinks will be available for purchase.
Join us for our Gals Evolving bookclub at Queenies Kingston from 6 to 8:00 PM.
About this Event
FAQs
Are there ID or minimum age requirements to enter the event? All ages are welcome to attend. Our age ranges typically from 19 – 65. Must be 18+ to drink alcoholic beverages.
What are the conditions of the Gals Evolving Book Club?
Membership and attendance is free, but each event costs $15 to cover the cost of nibbles. Additionally, becoming a member is a monthly commitment. To become a member, attendees must:
- Attend three consecutive monthly meetings, to be held on the last Thursday of each month at a central location.
- Note: After becoming a member, attendance is required at two of every three meetings. We think it’s important for gals to consistently attend meetings in order to form close relationships with other members.
- Come to each meeting well-versed in the chosen book. Gals can “read” the book in whatever format you want, just come ready to chat about the book.
What are my transportation/parking options for getting to and from the event? There is plenty of parking but we recommend rideshare or carpool!
How can I contact the organizer with any questions? Please e-mail us at enquiries@cbrgals.com.
Do I have to bring my printed ticket to the event? Nope!
