Linda Addison: A Canberra Gal You Should Know About
Our personal style is more than just clothing; it’s a powerful form of self-expression. It can embolden us, spark joy and shape the way people perceive us.

Whether you’re a CEO whose image and reputation are paramount to success, a new Mum navigating post-baby life and a changing body, or in retirement and looking to age gracefully and stylishly, each season of life offers opportunities to grow our personal style and embrace our own inner-confidence. These changes in life can also present challenges wherein navigating fashion trends and societal expectations of style and body image can feel like an insurmountable task. At the very least, shopping and styling our clothes and bodies can at times feel disheartening, confusing or simply not spark the joy and creativity it should. That’s where Linda comes in.
The Story of Bottlegreen and Yellow
After a fulfilling and successful corporate career, including senior executive roles and board memberships, the pandemic provided a catalyst for reflection and an opportunity for Linda to pursue her lifelong passion for style. What started as a simple request from a friend to reorganise her wardrobe, soon developed into a full-fledged styling business—Bottlegreen and Yellow.
What’s in a Name?
The name itself is a nod to Linda’s childhood and the quintessentially Australian bottlegreen and yellow school uniforms, which proved quite the styling challenge! Those uniforms inspired Linda’s own personal motto: “If you can style bottle green and yellow, you can style anything”.
An Empowered Approach to Style
Linda’s philosophy to style is simple: “When you feel good in what you’re wearing, you’re better equipped to succeed in whatever way is important to you”. With a deep motivation to support women as they tackle life’s challenges, Linda helps reframe challenging societal expectations that often hold women back and helps women create a style that works best for them. It is all about demystifying the often intimidating world of style and debunking myths around what women ‘should’ wear in order to discover the style that inspires and emboldens us to show up as the most confident and comfortable version of ourselves. Equipped with extensive real-world experience and a personal understanding of the diverse contexts and challenges women face, Linda knows how to make styling effective, easy, and fun for all women.
Conscious Consumption
By supporting women to find their own authentic style and navigate the world of fashion, Linda also helps them save time and money and engage in more sustainable fashion practices. When you know what suits you, it minimises the risk that a new purchase goes unused or ends up in landfill—reducing material waste through more conscious consumption. And when you are ready to move a piece of clothing on, Linda helps clients explore clothing resellers and other forms of circular fashion.
