About this event

Join us on the 17th of June from 6-9pm for our final Community Lead(her)s Seminar. The event will be an interactive evening of networking, panels, and keynote speeches, hosted at ANU Kambri aMBUSH Gallery. We’ll have a rich discussion surrounding how to lead when the centre is shifting. As leaders are called to operate in an increasingly global context, the most successful leaders are able to see through the eyes of others and to hear the voices of customers and colleagues from around the world. They build their own personal networks, navigate differences, and work effectively across new borders – both the physical borders between countries and the limits of old leadership paradigms.

Acknowledging these statistics, this event will present two keynote speeches by Body Positivity Advocate April Hélène-Horton, and feminist writer Lauren Beckmam. Both April and Lauren have learned how to lead from within, pushing “unpopular” ideas on social media and amassing huge followings.  These will be followed by a panel discussion.

The recommended ticket cost will cover nibbles and a glass of wine following the event, while we mingle in classic CBR Gals style. Complimentary tickets are available for all university students. Use code “UNI” at checkout. Terms apply.

Any money donated beyond the recommended ticket price will go to YWCA to promote women and gender-diverse leadership.
